Last week we were back working with the National Trust, this time at the stunning NT Speke Hall in Liverpool, where we carried out onsite repairs to its historic leaded windows, using Victorian reclaimed and handmade glass from our archive. Built in 1530 by the Norris family, Speke Hall is a remarkable Tudor house, complete with a moat, striking timber-framed walls and a distinctive gatehouse. Over the centuries it has witnessed periods of change, decline and revival, before finally being entrusted to the National Trust in 1986. We’ve been fortunate to work with the National Trust before – including repairs at John Lennon’s childhood home – and it’s always a privilege to help preserve such treasured places so they can be enjoyed for generations to come.
