Abrasive media etching produces a permanent fine white etch on the surface of the glass. We can produce your design by either a single layer outline etch or a multi layered effect by multiple etching and carving deep into the glass.
The glass is masked to protect the areas to be left unaffected and the mask is cut to the design required. The effect created is very elegant and is perfect for producing privacy with style. We have years of experience producing etched glass in homes, schools and churches. Choose from our standard range below or contact us and have our designers produce something unique just for you. |
We offer custom etched glass for fanlights, toplights, door panels & side panels. Feature your house name or number and choose from one of our standard borders and fonts below. The panels can be made in any shape or size, single or double glazed. Upon order we will create a design mock up of your glass for you to confirm. We were commissioned to create this striking Barn Owl design to create a sense of privacy but interest to a stairway window overlooking a neighbours garden. We worked closely with the customer to incorporate their ideas and translate them into the finished product.

We were commissioned by a Royal Engineers Veteran to transform the Coloured Cap Badge image into an etched door panel. The image was traced by hand using specialist computer software. If the image quality is good enough the software can trace the outlines, but unfortunately in this instance each individual cut-line had to be traced by hand, which was a lengthy process. The stencil was cut into special vinyl film and applied to the toughened glass. Different parts of the design were weeded and sand blasted, this created a 3D effect. Shading was added to create depth. The finished panel was cleaned and delivered to the happy customer.
Please see the video at the top of the page to see more shots of the panel and the process we used to create this effect. |

This stunning pair of door panels features an intricate sand blast etched design with real depth and character. It is produced using a hand cut stencil placed onto laminated glass which was then deep cut by carving the glass using a hand held blasting gun. |
These beautiful Trifoil Cross design panels are from St. Anne's Church in Accrington. The new etched glass panels were hand cut and sand blasted in multiple stages to create the detailed design and multi layered effect. |
