How to order Stained Glass

Ordering your new stained windows could not be easier with our simple step-by-step approach.
Step 1 - Measure
Decide which window or door you would like your new stained glass to be made for.
Carefully measure the opening. The most accurate way to measure the opening is to use a steel tape measure. You should measure the size including the rebate where the glass fits into the frame. Measure the width first and then the height.
The size will need to be reduced to allow a small clearance all round the stained glass panel or triple glazed unit, depending on the type of frame. A deduction of 5mm for timber frames and 10mm for uPVC frames is standard but please discuss with us before confirming the glass size when ordering. The size you state on your order is the size we will make and supply so be very sure of your sizes.
Step 2 - Ideas
Decide on the design, this can be a tricky one.
Look at other stained glass windows in your house or other peoples houses for ideas.
You could browse our online gallery of stained glass designs or visit our studio where you can look through our collection of photos and design books.
Or search the images on google or other stained glass sites to give you some inspiration but be careful of copyrights.
If you can, sketch out some ideas.
Step 3 - Email and Price
Visit our studio, phone to arrange for us to visit you or Email us with your ideas & sizes.
We will then provide an estimate based on this information.
Step 4 - Order and Design
Once you are happy with the price please email or phone to confirm you are happy to go ahead.
At this stage we will ask for a 20% deposit, we will send an email through our accounts software with our quote, you will click on the link to accept the quote. Payment details are also included, We accept BACs, Cash or Cheque.
We will then work on the original design based on your ideas and the cost to make the stained glass.

You may want to revise the design at this stage and perhaps change the colours or make tweaks.
Once you are happy with the design we will then make the stained glass window for you.
Step 5 - Deliver, Collect or Fit
When the stained glass window is ready we can either deliver it to you or you can collect it from our studio or we can arrange fitting. One of our experienced craftsmen can call at your home to fit the stained glass for you.
You only pay the balance when you are completely satisfied with your new stained glass window. For orders that are to be delivered by courier we will send photos of the finished window for your approval and will arrange for the delivery after final payment is made and cleared.
