St. Brigid's RC Primary School, Manchester
July, 2011
A new stained glass window was the ideal solution to make an impressive first impression in the school main reception area and add light to the school's IT room. Ms Murphy, the Deputy Head contacted us with a view to making the new window with design input from the children in the school council. Stained glass Artist Andrew Seddon worked with the 12 strong group and lead the brainstorming and design session producing the designs used in the window. "I love the creative process with the children being at the centre giving their unique input. I encouraged the children to think of the things they liked most about their school and put them into pictures. I then took work and used it as the basis for the design of the new window."
The finished stained glass window will be protected in a triple glazed unit made from toughened glass and will be completed for the start of the new term.
